The 4S
Routine
The same four-stage sequence we have refined over two decades of clinical practice — translated into a routine you can follow at home.
Hair loss is rarely solved in a single gesture. It is slowed, then stabilized, then strengthened and finally, sustained controlably. 4S Routine is the sequence we have perfected for twenty years, condensed into 4S's and 4 phases.

Stop.
Slow the ongoing hairfall to almost a stop, before attempting anything else.
The first three months are not about regrowth. They are about stopping hairloss. Following the routine we share with you on Rootinly, the 1st phase is built to stop the active shedding at its source, so the next phases can begin on healing roots.
In twenty years of treating thousands of patients, this initial intervention has stopped active fall in 92 - 95% of cases. It is the foundation on which everything else stands.
Stabilize.
Balance the hair growth cycle, stabilize the shedding hairs with the growing ones.
With the hairfall decreased, the next three months are dedicated to stabilizing the hair cycle. Every hair on the scalp cycles mainly between two phases: the anagen, where they wake up & grow, and telogen, where they sleep & shed. Stabilization brings these two phases into equilibrium.
In the Stabilization phase, we work to wake up the sleeping roots, while prolonging the ones in an active state.
Strengthen.
Thicken the hairs that stand. Build the apprearance of denser hairs.
By month seven, the hairs that survived and resurfaced need fortification. The S4 routine, now turn to keeping each strand in growing phase for as long as possible, thickening the shaft itself.
This is where mathematics begins to matter. Hair volume is not linear with thickness; it is governed by the square of the radius. Doubling a strand's radius does not double its volume: it quadruples it. The reverse is also true: a strand halved in radius retains only a quarter of its volume.
Strengthening, in other words, is the highest-leverage phase of the S4 routine.
- V
- Total hair volume
- π
- The constant, pi
- r
- Radius of the strand
- l
- Length of the strand
- d
- Density per cm²
- a
- Area of the scalp
Double the radius and the volume quadruples. Halve it and it falls to a quarter.
Strength is not added, it is squared. A small, durable gain at the root compounds into the density you can see.
Sustain.
Carry the gains forward - rootinly, daily, indefinitely.
The final S is not a phase, but a rhythm. The stop, the stabilization, the strengthening. None of the gains are owed to you once achieved. They must be sustained.
In the sustain phase, we lower the dose of the medicines, decreasing the monthly maintanance cost to less than half. Among the 92 to 95% of patients who respond to the protocol, the answer is the same: continue. Slowly, Cautiously, Rootinly. We will always be here to hold your hand.
Your Hair need active care, only rootinly usage will ensure they get the sufficient nourishment they need.
On the philosophy of maintenanceNine months, charted from the first day to the last.
Three quarters of a disciplined routine followed by a quiet, ongoing rhythm. Rootinly asks something of you every day, but very little of your time each day.
A nine-month conversation between you and your hair.
The same sequence we have refined for two decades, now available through Rootinly. Personalized to your scalp, your phase, your pace.
